My name is Tara Lohse and I love photography! I currently live in North Carolina, but I was born and raised on the Florida coast. I graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Studio Art, I love art and the ability to express myself through painting, photography and sculpture. I am married and love life, travel, and taking pictures. Photography is my favorite art form because I can capture a moment that brings out the warmth, love, and emotion in people’s lives. I enjoy all phases of the photography shoot—planning the day, working with people, taking the shots, editing the images, and sending out the final product. My goal is to catch those special moments that define a marriage, parenthood, and the excitement of living life.
Micaiah is such a perfect newborn- he is such a cutie and was so much to photograph. I spent the morning with Ryan, Emily and Asher- as they adored the newest member of their family. It was so much fun watching them love on Micaiah. I love this family. Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from our session together. Enjoy!
A few weeks ago while our adorable neices Gabby and Emmy were here visiting us we took some time to do a little session of the two of them. It was so fun- we played with bubbles, they wore sunglasses- and arent their pants just precious? I love these two- they have the cutest personality-and they love each other so much. They truly are the cutest sisters. Anyways here are just a few of my favs…. 
A few weeks ago Lindsay and Chis got married in Destin FL. It was such a honor to be part of their wedding day festivities. Lindsay and Chris had such a beautiful wedding day all the details were just gorgeous. After the Ceremony we went t0 the beach to take some super fun pictures with their wedding party. Then we headed to their awesome reception where they danced the night away with all their friends and family- it was the perfect ending to the perfect day. Congrats Lindsay and Chris!!!
A few weeks ago I got to spend the morning with Bryson and Jace and their Mimi who was in town for the holidays. It was such a fun session! These boys love their Mimi! We also got a few pictures of the whole family- and a few of just Ric and Mhari- they are such great friends of ours. Here are just a few of my favs from the session…. 
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending the morning with Felicia and Roy and their two precious daughters. We started off by taking some fun family Christmas pictures. This family was so easy to work with it really was a blast. After that we took some pictures of Victoria- who just turned too- how cute is she. Of course anytime you put a little girl in a tutu- it is a winning combination. She was too cute during our whole shoot she just kept on giving me these girly looks- and check out her eyes- aren’t they gorgeous?!!! Well enough talk here are just a few of the great pictures we shot that day…. 
Last week I had the pleasure of getting to meet Lauren and Brett’s newest addition James. He was the perfect newborn to photograph- super chill, slept most of the time, and is just so adorable. Well all baby’s are adorable- but look at this little guy aren’t those cheeks to die for. Lauren and Brett are moving this week from NC to Idaho- so it was neat getting to take some pictures in James’ first house- even if it was only for the first 3 weeks of his life. In the picture below is a blanket that Lauren had as an infant- and it was perfect to take some shots of James in it. I love family traditions like that. Lauren and Brett seem to have being parents down so far- they were so calm with him- and you could tell that they are utterly in love with this little guy. Good luck guys- we will miss you tons. 
I had such a blast being part of Lauren and John’s Wedding day. Getting married in December is a beautiful time to get married- and I loved all the details of Lauren and John’s wedding. They put so many personal touches to make their day so special. John’s grandmother used to grow Gerber Daisy’s so they put just one white daisy in Lauren’s bouquet I thought it was simply gorgeous. Lauren and John also had the cutest kids in their wedding- when I arrived i actually asked Lauren if she cast the children in her wedding (they were that cute!) she assured me that they were all family. They were a photographer’s dream. I had a pleasure getting to know Lauren and John’s family and friends- it was such a fun wedding to be a part of. Congrats guys!!!

I cant believe my two precious neices are now a year older- man how time flies. A few weeks ago we took some time to get some fun pictures with Emmy now that she is one and Gabby since she is about to turn three. I had such a fun time running after these two!!! Emmy is just a ball of fun- she cracked me up the whole time I was shooting her- the expressions she makes are just priceless. Gabby continues to get cuter each time I see her- those curls are just gorgeous-I just love taking pictures of these two. 
Last week I got to meet my newest neice Madilyn. She is just precious! I am already totally in love with her. Here are just a few of my favs from our session together…
